Situated in the thriving South West corner of the city, The Gilbert Street Hotel typifies the dignified figure of an archetypal Adelaide corner pub. Once you step inside, it is a mixture of lavish opulence and tasteful décor.
The hotel offers a number of different areas including a large rear beer garden, the restaurant with its dramatic colours, open fire place and chandeliers, the main bar and sidewalk area. As the sun goes down, the whole hotel is lit by candles enhancing the deep red colours of the Eastern wall.
The Gilbert has happy hour prices from 5-7pm Monday to Friday, with all Australian tap beers at $2.50 a schooner and all Imported tap beers at $4.00 a schooner, along with house wine for $3 a glass and $8.00 Vodka Redbull. Every Saturday night from 9 till 10pm we offer two for one Skyy Vodka and from 10 till 11pm all cocktails are $10.
The Gilbert provides entertainment 4 nights a week. Thursday offers an acoustic night from 8pm with a variety of interstate and local artists. Friday from 9pm features Deep House with DJ’s Lachlan Pender & guests. Stylus on Saturday’s kicks off at 10pm with DJ’s Lachlan Pender, DJ Spark & DJ Benson. On Sundays, ‘Delicious Beats & Treats’ starts from 3pm with DJ’s Simon Booth and Lachlan Pender. Our resident DJ Lachlan Pender has recently been nominated for 3 South Australian Dance Music Awards.
The bar opens daily from 10am until late, and the kitchen serves lunch daily from 12pm – 2.30pm and dinner from 5pm until late. The welcoming staff offer table service in the dining room over the dinner period allowing you to sit back, relax and enjoy your evening. From Friday until Sunday the Tapas and Cheese menus are available all day, and on Sunday mornings you will find a breakfast menu to entice your appetite.
